Annique1971 to 1972: Annekie Theron Ondernemings (Pty) LTD was established. Annique Theron’s desire to help others is evident from her first product, the Annique Wonder Slim (now known as the Annique Lifestyle Shake)

1973 to 1974: Launch of the first Wonder Slim competition, in conjunction with Rooi Rose. Annique launches its first three skin-care products, including the popular Revitalising Cream.

1975 to 1976: The second Wonder Slim competition is launched in conjunction with Rooi Rose. Annekie Theron Ondernemings becomes FOREVER YOUNG (Pty) LTD. Annique recruits her first Consultants.

1978 to 1981: The first Annique vitamin and mineral health formula is launched as the first in a range of sophisticated supplements with unique combinations of vitamins, minerals and combinations of vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Annique’s Consultant base grows to 30+.

1982 to 1985: The Annique skin-care range grows to 11 products and Annique’s own brand of superior, export-grade tea is introduced.

1991: The Annique Rooibos Baby range is launched – an unequalled range of products of the highest standard with a special baby tea, which offers mothers peace of mind and babies restful sleep.

2000: Annique also launches an extended slimming test programme with 880 participants across South Africa.

2003: Annique’s whole range receives a makeover. After five years of research into the health of South African men, women, children and teenagers, Annique develops a unique micronutrient range to supplement the individual health needs of our customers.

2004: Annique is affiliated to and plays a leading role in several local organisations and industry bodies, including:

  • the DSA(Direct Selling Association), which ensures the ethical conduct of Consultants;
  • the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, which updates Annique on the latest ingredients and methods in the cosmetics industry;
  • the Health Products Association; and
  • the CTFA (Cosmetics Toiletries and Fragrances Association).

2005: Annique moves into their new Home Office in Irene, Pretoria.

2006: Annique celebrates 35 years of existence with a special edition Revitalising Cream. This formulation is still unsurpassed in the remarkable repairing and rejuvenating results it delivers.

2008: Research shows that Rooibos tea can prevent cancer and heart disease.
Ernest du Toit is appointed as CEO on 1 February 2008.

2009: Dr Annique Theron unveils her autobiography, Manna – My verhaal van rooibostee en wonderwerke.

2010: Annique Skin Care Products (Pty) Ltd sold is to Ernest du Toit by the Theron family.

2011: The Annique business celebrates 40 years of creating life-changing opportunities for Consultants and  staff.
The company changes its name to Annique Health and Beauty.
Annique launches its first daily body-care range, The Spa.
